A surprising number of businesses don't backup their work - until after it is too late. More than half of all businesses that suffer a catastrophic data loss go out of business within the following 18 months. If you want to stop that from happening to you, a data security policy is essential.

A good backup policy can help to protect your data from fire, the theft of your computers, and even sabotage by disgruntled employees. The hardware can always be replaced: most insurance policies will cover that. But what about your work? Nobody is going to produce that all over again for you.

We will organise a backup system that is simple and efficient, protecting your hard work. A typical system will consist of a tape drive and some tapes: you just put a fresh tape in each day, and take yesterday's backup tape home with you each evening. That way, if something happens to your systems at the office, the backup tape is safe with you.

Backup Solutions

There are two main options for backup facilities: remote or fixed. Remote backups are done via your Internet connection, and guarantee that your valuable data is stored off-site. Furthermore, no user intervention is required.

Remote backups are perfect for use with our remote maintenance facility and will slash your IT costs even more.

Fixed backups require the installation of backup equipment and software, which has to be maintained by a member of staff. It also needs someone to be responsible for changing tapes, dealing with tape errors and taking used tapes offsite, every day.
